The Fate of Empire

A word to would be Empires:

This is what defeat looks like. You may want to get used to it.

Angry Arab warns: "Make no mistake about it: the Supply of Arabs willing to fight Israeli occupation  will never deplete. Never."

I happen to have caught all of Mosaic's coverage of the prisoner swap and I must say it was amazing to see what a powerful and important story it is throughout the region, including Israel. Yet, you wouldn't know it from watching our MSM propaganda outlets. I'd imagine this had to do with the fact that Israel was clearly defeated, and that is not good P.R. for U.S. defense contractors and other corporate masters. Either way, it was quite a sight to watch a resistance fighter released, after decades spent in an Israeli prison, come home to Lebanon, dawn a Hizbullah uniform, and be greeted as a national hero in front of a teeming throng of giddy supporters juxtaposed against images of Israelis wailing and moaning as their two dead soldiers were returned (of course far more dead Arab fighters were released in this process, as you point out). It would certainly behoove Americans to pay attention to these developments closely and be prepared to face the reality that if a peace agreement is not reached soon, U.S. and Israeli power in the region will be totally eclipsed by those who will not rest until Western occupation of Arab land, i.e. Palestine and Iraq, is defeated...
So, thanks for covering this topic.
